This practice sees patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8.00am to 5pm.
Please note that occasionally when a patient rings to make an appointment we will be unable to immediately take your call. Our staff may be busy taking bookings and providing patients with information regarding their appointment. In this instance, please leave a message and contact details so that we may call you back as soon as possible and definitely by the end of the day. Alternatively, you may email us your contact details and preferred time and we will phone you back to confirm and answer any questions.
If you do not have an appointment and your matter is urgent, please can you ask your doctor to contact us and discuss the case with Dr Berman. Please be aware that we have a very busy clinic and we will do our best to accommodate and see you as soon as possible.
Please note that any referral for any ultrasound is valid at Independent Sports Imaging, even if it has been written on a referral form from another radiology provider.

Please note that although we provide ample time for each appointment and do our best to adhere to appointment times; sometimes we may be running overtime for several reasons including the following; a patients problem / treatment is complicated and may require more time, an urgent case has been fitted in or a patient may have been running late. We appreciate your understanding and patience in these instances.
Yes. As Dr Berman is a specialist a referral is required in order to obtain Medicare benefits.

A new referral is almost always required at time of any treatment.
Although a referral from a general practitioner to Dr Berman lasts for one year and from another specialist for a period of three months, depending on the circumstance, it may be necessary to obtain another referral. This is not in order to see Dr Berman but to ensure that the ultrasound performed on the day will attract a Medicare benefit.
Certain Allied professionals such a podiatrists can refer for imaging but are unable to refer for an injection. If this is required then a referral from your general practitioner or specialist will be required.

Yes, there is ample parking available on site. You can access the parking area from Springvale road.
